Camp Met (Metamorphosis)
![]() ![]() Grief Camp for Teens Thanks to generous donations from the community, The Cooper Foundation has been able to support two weekend long Camp experiences for grieving area Teens. These have taken place in the beautiful hill country, near Austin, Texas. The Camp Met experience has facilitated Teens to learn to cope with their sense of isolation and confusion as they struggle with the grief of a loved one. Camp Met mixes fun, traditional Camp activities with powerful moments of exploring feelings and sharing memories. Camp activities include:
Camp Met 2010 is currently in the planning stages. Tentative date is the Labor Day weekend, September 3rd-5th - once more at the Candlelight Ranch facility near Austin, Texas. Additional information on Camp Met, and instructions for applying will be posted soon. Camp Met is only offered to Teenagers 13 - 19 years old.
