Camp Met (Metamorphosis)

Grief Camp for Teens

Thanks to generous donations from the community, we were able to take 17 area Teens to Camp Metamorphosis this past Labor Day weekend. Camp Met was held at the beautiful Candlelight Ranch camp facility, on Lake Travis, near Austin. Camp Metamorphosis helps Teens learn to cope with their sense of isolation and confusion as they struggle with the grief of a loved one. Camp Met mixes fun, traditional Camp activities with powerful moments of exploring feelings and sharing memories. Camp activities include:
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Sharing Circles
  • Team Events
  • Bonfire Ceremonies

Camp MET for teens will be held this year over the weekend of December 16th (we hope it will have cooled off a bit by then !). Details coming soon....

For more information, or an application for Camp Met, please contact us at 832-623-9966 or e-mail Jaine@TheCooperFoundation.org. At this time Camp Met is only offered to Teenagers 13 - 19 years old.
